Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”
The teacher imparts education hence the role of the teacher is of paramount importance both in the present and future of a student.
To honor the teachers, a function was organized in the school on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The initiative for the arrangements of the function was taken by the Hindi department of our school. The function took place in the assembly hall. The assembly hall was decorated with posters, banners and streamers.
The function began on a happy note with the students singing the school prayer and songs. Teachers hosted the event. Dr. Satyawan Meshram, Mrs. Mohini Meshram and Mrs. Samruddhi Shringaokar of Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal Nagpur; were present and gave us inspiring speeches. This was followed by a speech performance by students and teachers. After this, the school choir sang some songs to pay ode to their teachers.
Miss. Madhuri Acharya and Miss. Suvarna Jambulkar paid a tribute to the teachers by delivering a speech highlighting the necessity of teachers. After this our principal, Mrs. Lata Maroti Wagh honored those teachers who had served the school by presenting them with flowers. This was followed by the prefects of the school seeking the blessings of all the teachers of the school by touching their feet.
The function concluded with gaiety all around.
